1982-1989: Study of human medicine at the University of Heidelberg

Studies abroad in Bangor/Wales 1986, Memphis/USA 1987 and Sydney/Australia 1988.

1989-1990: Doctor in practical training at the Surgical University Hospital Heidelberg.

1991-1992: Conscript medical officer in the German armed forces.

1992-1996: Specialist training as an orthopaedic surgeon at the Orthopaedic University Clinic Mainz.

1996-1998: Senior physician in the Orthopaedic Department at the Ev. Hospital Bethesda in Duisburg with operative and conservative spectrum: endoprosthetics of the large joints, spinal surgery, arthroscopic surgery, spinal diseases, foot surgery, joint and bone surgery. Treatment of bone fractures, muscle and joint injuries.

Since 10/1998: Registered specialist

Professional Association of Specialists in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (BVOU), Medi-Verbund, Orthopaedic Society for Osteology (OGO), Society for Diving and Pressure Medicine (GTUEM), Heidelberg Association of Medical Experts (HAMS)
